Answer First

All-on-4 at Vedha Family Dentistry is planned in Dover and performed in a single surgical day at our flagship aesthetic center in West New York, replacing a full upper or lower arch of missing or failing teeth with four titanium implants and a fixed, non-removable prosthetic. You never leave the office without teeth. We make it affordable with monthly financing through Cherry and CareCredit, and you receive the full plan in writing before you commit.

What is All-on-4 and who is it designed for?

All-on-4 is a dental implant protocol that replaces a full arch of teeth using four strategically placed implants instead of one implant per missing tooth. Two implants go straight into the front of the jaw where the bone is strongest, and two implants tilt up to 45 degrees in the back to anchor in the dense bone anterior to the sinus cavity and nerve canal. A fixed acrylic or zirconia bridge is screwed into all four implants the same day.

The protocol is designed for two groups of patients: those with most or all teeth missing on an arch, and those whose remaining teeth are failing and need a full-mouth restart. Many patients come to us after being told they do not have enough bone for traditional individual implants. Because All-on-4 uses tilted implants to avoid the areas where bone has shrunk, patients who do not qualify for conventional implants often qualify for All-on-4 without needing bone grafts.

The All-on-4 timeline at Vedha Family Dentistry

Consultation and 3D planning in Dover (1 visit, about 90 minutes)

Dr. Priya reviews your full health history, captures a cone-beam CT scan of your jaw, and runs a digital surgical simulation. You see exactly where each implant will go, what your final teeth will look like, and what the full investment will be. You leave with a written plan, insurance estimate, and financing options.

Surgery day in West New York (single visit, 3 to 5 hours)

Any remaining failing teeth are extracted. The four implants are placed using a printed digital guide from your CT scan. A fixed temporary acrylic bridge is secured to the four implants before you leave. Sedation options (nitrous oxide or oral conscious sedation) are available so the day feels short and comfortable.

Healing phase (4 to 6 months)

You eat a soft diet for the first 2 weeks and gradually return to normal foods. Most patients report minimal soreness after the first 48 hours. You have short progress checks every 4 to 6 weeks so we can confirm the implants are fully integrating with your bone.

Final prosthetic (1 to 2 visits)

At 4 to 6 months, we swap the transitional acrylic bridge for your permanent prosthetic. Most patients upgrade to a zirconia or titanium-hybrid bridge for maximum strength and longevity. The final prosthetic is designed to last 15 to 25 years with normal care.

Why patients choose All-on-4 over traditional dentures

Conventional dentures work, but the daily reality is not what most patients want: adhesive, movement during meals, sore spots on the gum, covered palate (which blocks taste), and a removable appliance that has to be cleaned separately. All-on-4 eliminates every one of those issues.

  • Fixed in the mouth: never comes out, never needs adhesive
  • No palate coverage on uppers: taste and speech feel completely normal
  • 80 to 90 percent of natural biting force restored, compared to 20 to 25 percent with dentures
  • Prevents jaw bone loss because the implants stimulate bone like natural tooth roots
  • Cleaned like natural teeth with brushing, flossing (water flosser recommended), and regular hygiene visits

All-on-4 financing in Dover, NJ

All-on-4 is a full-arch investment, and we make it manageable with monthly financing. The final price depends on the prosthetic material you choose (acrylic transitional, zirconia, or titanium-hybrid) and whether you treat one arch or both. Your cone-beam CT, digital planning, surgical guide, and same-day temporary are all included, and you receive a full written plan before any work begins.

Most patients finance through Cherry or CareCredit with 0 percent promotional options and terms up to 60 months. We verify every angle of dental and medical insurance coverage, and we accept HSA and FSA funds.

Computer-guided surgery is the reason it works in a single day

All-on-4 is not a new concept, but the technology behind it has changed dramatically in the last decade. Dr. Priya uses cone-beam CT imaging, digital case planning software, and 3D-printed surgical guides to remove the variables that used to make same-day tooth replacement risky. The implants go where they are planned to go, in the strongest available bone, avoiding nerves and sinuses, without guesswork.

Guided surgery also reduces chair time by about 40 percent, which means less fatigue for the patient and faster healing. It is the single biggest reason we can confidently deliver a fixed temporary bridge the same day as surgery.

Recovery, eating, and daily life after All-on-4

Recovery is easier than most patients expect. The first 48 hours involve mild soreness easily managed with ibuprofen. Patients are back to work within 3 to 5 days and back to most normal foods within 2 weeks. For the full 4 to 6 month integration period, we recommend avoiding very hard foods (ice, hard nuts, caramel) that could stress the implants while bone is still fusing.

After the final prosthetic is placed, there are no food restrictions. Daily cleaning takes about 3 minutes: brush twice a day, water-floss nightly, and see us every 6 months for a hygiene visit. The prosthetic itself can be unscrewed at the office for deep cleaning once a year.

Who should not get All-on-4?

A small number of patients are not good candidates. We will tell you honestly at your consultation if you fall into any of these groups:

  • Heavy smokers who cannot quit for the surgical and healing periods (smoking significantly reduces implant success)
  • Patients with uncontrolled diabetes or autoimmune conditions that compromise healing
  • Patients on certain IV bisphosphonate medications (common for severe osteoporosis)
  • Patients with active periodontal disease that must be treated first
  • Patients with severe bruxism who grind heavily at night (we would first stabilize with a night guard)

How much do All-on-4 implants cost in Dover, NJ?+
All-on-4 is a full-arch investment, and we make it manageable with monthly financing through Cherry and CareCredit. Your plan includes the four titanium implant posts, all surgical fees, the same-day temporary fixed bridge, and the final prosthetic at 4 to 6 months. The final price depends on the prosthetic material you choose (acrylic transitional bridge, zirconia, or monolithic hybrid), and we publish every component in writing before you commit.
Is All-on-4 really done in one day?+
Yes. The defining promise of All-on-4 is that you walk in with failing or missing teeth and walk out with a fixed, non-removable set of teeth the same day. Over the course of 4 to 6 months, the four implants fully fuse with bone and we swap the transitional bridge for your permanent prosthetic. You are never without teeth at any point during the journey.
Am I a candidate for All-on-4?+
Most adults who are currently missing most or all teeth on an arch, or whose remaining teeth are failing, are candidates for All-on-4. Many patients who were told they had too much bone loss for traditional implants still qualify for All-on-4 because the four posts are strategically tilted to anchor in the strongest available bone. Dr. Priya confirms candidacy with a cone-beam CT scan at your consultation.
How is All-on-4 different from dentures?+
A denture sits on your gum and relies on suction or adhesive to stay in place. It moves when you eat, covers your palate (affecting taste), and often causes sore spots. All-on-4 is a fixed prosthetic anchored to four titanium implants. You never take it out. You eat, speak, and smile like you have natural teeth. Most patients say it takes one meal to forget their denture days are over.
What is the difference between All-on-4 and All-on-6?+
The numbers refer to how many implants support the arch. All-on-4 uses four strategically tilted implants. All-on-6 adds two more for extra stability, usually when bone quality allows and the patient wants added margin for very heavy chewers. Most cases do not need six. Dr. Priya will recommend which is right for you based on your CT scan and bite analysis.
Does All-on-4 require bone grafting?+
Usually no. The whole point of the All-on-4 protocol is to avoid bone grafts by tilting the two rear implants to reach the strongest bone available. That is the biggest reason patients with significant bone loss qualify for All-on-4 but not for traditional individual implants. If grafting is needed in your specific case, we will include it in your written plan up front.
How long does All-on-4 last?+
The titanium implant posts last a lifetime for the vast majority of patients. Long-term clinical data shows implant survival above 95 percent at 10 years. The acrylic transitional bridge is replaced at 4 to 6 months with a zirconia or titanium-hybrid prosthetic designed to last 15 to 25 years. Proper daily cleaning and regular hygiene visits keep the system healthy.
Will insurance cover All-on-4?+
Some PPO plans offer partial coverage on the prosthetic portion (similar to denture coverage) but most exclude the surgical implant portion. For patients with medical insurance, All-on-4 is sometimes covered after accidents, cancer treatment, or specific congenital conditions. We verify every potential coverage angle and apply whatever we can to your out-of-pocket. Most patients combine insurance, HSA/FSA, and Cherry or CareCredit financing.
